Lag Stud Wire Rope Terminal for 3/16″ Cable – Type 316 Stainless Steel
Here we have our wire rope terminal with a lag stud and it works really well with wooden posts / structures. Being made of T316 steel enables you to install them indoors and outdoors. Even if you get all four seasons or live in a humid area, these terminals won’t rust.
You can pair this wire rope terminal with one of our cable turnbuckle tensioner which also has a lag. All of our hardware is made of the same type 316 stainless steel so you can mix and match as much as you’d like. With any swage cable end fittings you will need to make sure you’ve got a hand swaging tool on the job site – that’s what actually fastens the cable and hardware together. There will also be the need for a solid Cable Cutter Tool that can do both the swaging and cutting if you don’t want to pack around two different tools.
If you still need to get 3/16″ steel cable we do offer a number of different length options in our Steel Wire Cable category. You’ll notice we are big fans of the 1×19 configuration – that’s because we believe it’s the best looking option for cable rails and it isn’t rough to the touch. The cable we stock along with this wire rope terminal look sharp once installed.
